About

A scalable movement for child eye health

One School at a Time (OSaaT) is a global child eye-health initiative: a digital screening platform and school-based program model turning every classroom into a vision-care entry point.

Our objective

Accelerate access to eye care for every child, everywhere

OSaaT was built to combine healthcare delivery, education impact, research and technology into one scalable model, co-designed with founding partners the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation and Berkeley Vision, and delivered with governments and NGOs around the world.

  • A scalable, cost-effective and gender-responsive approach to child eye health.
  • Strengthened systems and capacity to deliver comprehensive child eye-health services.
  • Enhanced school-based delivery, reaching children where they already are.
  • Easy and affordable access to high-quality eye care services for all children, in all settings.
  • Increased awareness of the importance of good vision and healthy eye habits.
  • Comprehensive data to guide future interventions and respond to the global myopia crisis.

"When a child can finally see the board, an entire future comes into focus"
